Episode 18, daytime news, These Hands...

New timeslots, new shows and changes!

Hello tape flippers!  Flip the tape has officially been on air for two seasons now and in the coming weeks there'll be some very special changes happening to the program.

Flip The Tape will be ending it's evening timeslot at the end of the current summer grid.   You'll be able to hear a new (and improved!) version of the program at Friday 2pm-4pm starting this week on the 6th of February 2008.

Tune in this week, support diverse musical programming and have your say on the SMS line about what you think of the new show and the songs you'll be hearing.

You'll be able to come back to this blog for a tracklist, info about some of the songs heard on the show, short reviews of some of the tracks/albums mentioned on the program as well as further links.

stay tuned!

THESE HANDS COULD SEPERATE THE SKY
It's about time that a band went and mashed together my favourite elements of the 90s midwest emo scene (mineral, christie front drive et al) with the sound and deafening sonic assault of a post-rock band.    Already making waves in the local melbourne indie scene, you can check out These Hands Could Seperate The Sky live this thursday for FREE with band Minutes.

Tune in tonight to hear "To the lighthouse" from their kicking-rad demo cd-r.

Go and treat your ears.
These hands could seperate the sky.
